Recording Time: 42:10 – 44:24
Michael Romyn: What are some of your fondest memories of the team?
Richard Goss: Fondest, besides winning is the – watching players join the club, who have hardly played, and then finishing playing good basketball, and they’ve enjoyed themselves. The smile on their faces when they did something good is brilliant.
MR: What about your personal best achievement.
RG: My personal best? Oh, I haven’t got one. No, no, I just enjoyed my time.
MR: Is there a particular team from a particular year that stands out to you?
RG: 1970s, one with Pat Grove, that was a good team. But, every team from that era it was a good team, and there were good teams afterwards but it was, for me, it was, that one when Pat Grove was coaching was good, there were some good players there.
MR: What was it about basketball that drew you in? What was it that separated it from other sports for you?
RG: I could play. I could compete and not – it was, I enjoyed it, an enjoyment. It was a game where you played forty minutes of play and from start to finish it was enjoyable.
