Description
In 2014, Folkestone resident and Gurkha, Pradip Rai, was paralysed from the chest down following a surgical operation. In this oral history, Pradip spoke to us about coming to terms with this devastating event, his efforts to stay active and healthy, and his desire for better and greater sport and exercise provision for disabled people in Folkestone, and across Kent. Pradip also spoke to us about growing up in Nepal, the arduous road to becoming a Gurkha, and competing in the virtual London Marathon 2020.
