Dave Barker: 'Paddling With Purpose'

Title

Dave Barker: 'Paddling With Purpose'

Subject

Dave Barker

Description

In 1989, paddle sport enthusiast Dave Barker received a call from Kent County Council, asking him to breathe life into a disused youth club. With a donation of six 'broken' kayaks and a garage that 'leaked like a sieve', he founded Seapoint Canoe Centre - now thriving in its thirtieth year. In this video interview, Dave explains how the club has grown remarkably, despite its humble origins. He also talks about his love of coaching, and gives his views on the many pleasures and benefits of paddle sport.
